Stone Station
Stone Station was originally part of the
North Staffordshire
Railway. It was incorporated into the LMS at the time of the
grouping in 1923.

The station
lies at the north-east of the town and this view is looking towards the
south-east and the line towards Rugeley. On the far right of the
picure the edge of the platform for the Stafford line can just be
seen. A small area of sidings is visible just beyond the station
building which I understand is a listed building and now used as a
community centre.
